PSP Subjects
Control Subjects
The percent change in regional volumetric data from baseline to 6 and 12 months are graphed for the PSP subjects and the healthy controls across a subset of the subcortical and cerebellar regions that show the greatest changes over the 12 month period.
PSP Subject Regional Volumetry
The t-statistic and p-values for the regional volumetric data modeled between visits (6 and 12 months compared to baseline) per group. The regional data is normalized for intracranial volume, and the statistical analysis model uses both age and sex as covariates. The t-statistic are highlighted in red for regions that are expanding, and from green to purple for regions that show significant atrophy.
These graphs demonstrate the regional atrophy of the brainstem, cerebellum, and subcortical regions where we assessed the percent change in volume over the 12 month period. These regions demonstrate 2-4% reduction in volume over this time period, compared to the minimal changes observed in the same regions within the control population.
The table summarizes the t-statistics and p-values for the regional volumetric changes. While all regions show statistically significant changes over the 6 and 12 month periods, the ventricular, subcortical, and cerebellar regions are highly significant even at 6 months.
